Indian Lake County Park/Halfway Prairie Wildlife Area Master Plan Open House

Event Dates

  • Saturday, 11/04/2023 1:00 p.m.

Event Description

Dane County Parks planning staff will present a brief overview of major recommendations and public comment themes that have been heard to date for the draft Indian Lake County Park & Halfway Prairie Wildlife Area Master Plan. Following the presentation, staff will lead hiking tours (rain or shine) to review major plan recommendations and answer questions.

Dane County Parks began working on the master plan for Indian Lake County Park and Halfway Prairie Wildlife Area in March of 2022. One of the main purposes of the plan is to provide a common vision for future park facility development and park land management that balances public use with resource protection. Since the planning process began, Dane County Parks posted an interactive survey on the project webpage to solicit feedback, hosted 3 public information meetings, appeared at two Berry Town Board meetings and sent three mailings about the planning process to neighbors of the park.

The draft master plan for the park and wildlife area is available for review on the Dane County Parks web page.

Registration is not required for this event.
