Lake Kegonsa Migratory Bird Celebration

Come one, come all for this free event hosted by the Friends of Lake Kegonsa! This event will be an informative and fun morning for bird lovers of all ages.

• Hear a presentation on migratory waterfowl by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources 
• Learn about Purple Martin houses and why they are important additions to lake-side properties
• Save Our Songbirds will educate and delight listeners on backyard habitats for songbirds
• The International Crane Foundation will showcase amazing crane species found here in the US

Hands-On Activities:

• Utilize various types of birding scopes to spot birds on, near, and above Lake Kegonsa
• Kid craft stations - make birdseed pinecones and bird masks

 

As an added bonus, Maynard the Mallard from the Mallards Baseball Team will be flitting between stations at the event to meet you!
