Dane County Committee Tour

This tour is exclusively designed for Dane County Committee members and other elected officials.

The Sime Farm has partnered with the county on various initiatives, including the Continuous Cover Program (CCP), the Soil Health Equipment Program (SHEP), and, most recently, their participation in the Dane Demo Farm network.

Participants will hear directly from the Simes, learn about their involvement in the farmer-led watershed group, and observe a no-till drill purchased with support from SHEP. The tour will also include a visit to Dane Demo Farm plots hosted by the Simes, which focuses on farmer-led research related to conservation crop management practices. The session will conclude with a rainfall simulation demonstration.
