Event Description

Enjoy the outdoors, learn about the natural world, and forge new friendships by joining the Friends of Donald Park on a restoration workday. This fall, we'll clear invasive species from oak savanna and prairie sites to foster the preservation and rejuvenation of native plants and trees, especially white and bur oaks. We work in teams and no experience is necessary.

What to wear: Old clothes, sturdy shoes, and garden or leather gloves if you have them. (We have some to lend out.)

What to bring: Please bring water. We will provide tools and cookies.

Meeting location: To be determined depending on the day’s task. The work party leader will give you the location after you RSVP. Please arrive at 9:45 am to check in.

RSVP to the work party leader, Liz McBride, at elizabeth-mcbride@sbcglobal.net by the Friday before the workday so she can give you the meeting location and reach you if weather forces to cancel.
