Brush Cutting/Burning Work Parties with the Friends of Cherokee Marsh

Event Description

Join the Friends of Cherokee Marsh this summer to remove burdock, Japanese hedge parsley, and possibly sweet clover and other invasive plants in the prairies and woods at Cherokee Marsh. We might do some early seed collecting as well.

What to Know:

  • All tools, materials, and training are provided. 
  • Bring drinking water and snacks if you'd like. 
  • We'll cancel if raining steadily or threat of thunderstorms (RSVP to be informed of cancelation).


What to Wear: 

  • Dress for the weather, wear closed-toe footwear. 
  • Work gloves optional.

Accessibility:

  • We'll be working off trail, on uneven ground with down wood.
