Madison, WI – In coordination with Mead & Hunt and Wisconsin Air National Guard, Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) has developed an informational web page regarding PFAS at the airport. The web page contains a presentation about steps being taken by the airport, a question submission form, and additional resources. It can be found at msnairport.com/about/ecomentality/PFAS-Information.

Current public health safety guidelines do not allow for an in-person public information meeting, so DCRA created the web page to provide information and updates to the public on PFAS at the airport. The virtual presentation, led by Kim Jones, Airport Director, Amy Tutwiler, Attorney with the Office of Dane County Corporation Counsel, and Dean Mericas, PFAS Expert at Mead & Hunt, explains what we know about PFAS at the airport and what we are doing about PFAS contamination. The question submission form, which will be turned into an extensive FAQ section, will be open to the public for two weeks. More information on the FAQ submission can be found on the web page.

DCRA and its partners are committed to continuing cleanup work and will update the community on the progress. For the latest submitted testing results and work plans, visit the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website: dnr.wi.gov/topic/Brownfields/botw.html.
