Dane County’s Personnel and Finance Equity, Recruitment, and Retention Subcommittee Meets for First Time

On Friday, January 27, the Dane County Personnel and Finance Committee’s Equity, Recruitment and Retention Subcommittee met for the first time.  The 12-member subcommittee was created in the 2022 budget, and extended to complete work during 2023. 


The subcommittee’s objective is to evaluate concerns regarding equity, recruitment, and retention.


At the meeting County Board Supervisor April Kigeya (District 15), was elected Chair of the subcommittee, “I look forward to working with the subcommittee to review these concerns and put forward recommendations in the coming months”.  


The subcommittee will meet monthly on the 4th Friday in 2023, with a report to the Personnel and Finance Committee that recommends options for addressing identified concerns.
