The Dane County Board of Supervisors held public hearings this week to launch the 2025 budget process. During the hearings, county department leaders presented their budget requests, and residents shared their priorities for the upcoming year.

Dozens of community members spoke at the hearings, voicing their support for critical services such as food and housing assistance, dementia care, and substance abuse disorder treatment, among many other needs.

County Executive Kuhn will release her proposed 2025 budget next week.  Following its release, the County Board and its committees will review and consider budget amendments.  Residents are encouraged to attend committee meetings and Board hearings to provide input and share their concerns.
