Sheriff's Office
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new class of deputies. Four deputies will be sworn in by Sheriff Kalvin Barrett today at 1:30 pm in the Dane Courthouse Jury Assembly Room. They are:
• Brooke Cooper, 42, of Monticello
• Lucas R. Dahlberg, 26, of New Glarus
• Marco Delli Carpini, 32, of Madison
• Dakota B. Emrick, 30, of Madison
• Matthew T. Hong, 29, of Middleton
• Ethan H. Sneller, 27, of Waunakee
The group brings various experiences and backgrounds to our agency. The class will be attending the Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Academy. Their first assignment will be in the Dane County Jail, where they will serve a two-year probationary period. The positions became available due to retirements and vacancies that occurred in the past year. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office continually recruits for deputy and civilian positions to fill vacancies as they happen. Applications can be found online at www.teamdane.com. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
